The Career Stack (the “Site”) is an independent editorial review of resume & job-search tools. There are no sign-up, checkout or lead forms on the Site, and we collect as little as possible.
The Site has no forms, so it collects no name, email or account data from you directly. It may record basic, aggregated visit statistics (page visited, referring page, device type) through self-hosted, cookieless analytics that writes nothing to your device and shares nothing with advertising networks. Where this is enabled, an IP address and user-agent are processed transiently and deleted within 14 days. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding aggregate traffic to a static site; the interest is balanced against your rights by keeping the data cookieless, un-profiled, short-lived and never sold. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, no consent is needed for the analytics itself. The short notice you see on arrival covers the third-party cookie an affiliate link may set when you click it, which you can decline.
The Site is served from hosting infrastructure located in Israel. Israel is recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection (adequacy decision of 31 January 2011), so any processing of EEA visitor data there relies on that adequacy decision and needs no additional transfer safeguards (Art. 45 GDPR). If the hosting region changes, this page will say so.
The “Visit site” buttons send you to the platform’s own website, where its own privacy policy applies. Any details you enter there you provide on their side, under their rules — we do not receive or store them.
The outbound links are affiliate links: if you sign up through one after clicking through, we earn a commission. It does not affect the price you pay, and it does not change which tools are listed or how they are grouped — that is our editorial call.
The Site sets no cookies of its own — the analytics above is cookieless. If you make a choice in the cookie notice, it is stored in your browser’s local storage (a single functional entry, not a tracking cookie) so we don’t ask again. When you follow an outbound affiliate link, the destination and our referral partner may set their own third-party cookie to credit the referral; you can decline that in the notice, and review or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
If you are in the EU/EEA (or under UK GDPR), you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability, and — where any processing relied on consent — the right to withdraw it.
